Biography

My Name is Jeff DeSouza. I started Jackal Music in April of 2008. I am an active musician, songwriter and student. I have a full time engineering job, but in the early hours of the morning and in the evening and weekends I am working on music. I am currently enrolled at the Berklee College of Music’s online program earning my Master’s Certificate in Production and Guitar. I decided that in addition to promoting my own music and lessons I wanted to provide a place where I could recommend artists, products and services that I have first-hand knowledge of.

My road to learning the guitar has been long and its taken some great products, inspiration and support from family and friends to get to this point. I see it as a continuous learning experience, however, so some content will be revised, removed and added as I learn as well. I am not pretending to know it all, but rather provide a resource where people can get information that is truthful to the best of my knowledge and current level of experience, which I hope will be constantly evolving!

I have first-hand knowledge and experience with all products and artists that I link to. I will not write a review unless I have tried the product or have listened to or worked with the artist. Yes, some of them are affiliates but I have chosen them based on my experiences with them, not for the revenue. I am sure that by reading about my experiences with them you will understand that my views are genuine.
